MEET ROslyn SOLOMON
Roslyn Solomon, principal of IA Consulting,
is a legal and public policy consultant, facilitator, writer, and
speaker. Passionate about promoting equity and social justice, Ms.
Solomon has been instrumental in implementing comprehensive equitable
reform measures through her advocacy and communications work.
Ms. Solomon was previously the Director of the U.S. program at Uplift
International, a Seattle-based health and human rights organization.
She has also served as a consultant for Health Alliance International
and the Grameen Technical Center.
Prior to her work as a consultant, Ms. Solomon maintained a private
law practice in Seattle. She then served as an administrative law
judge for the State of Washington and was an adjunct professor at
the Seattle University School of Law, where she taught trial advocacy.
Ms. Solomon continues to present to bar association committees,
as well as teach legal strategy in her role as instructor for the
National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Ms. Solomon is an active community volunteer, a member of the Health
Care Reform Realization Committee for the State of Washington Office
of the Insurance Commissioner; serves as Chair of the Seattle Human
Rights Commission; a member of the Board of the Center for Woman
& Democracy; a member of the Advisory Board of Youth Ambassadors,
a founder and board member of the Jewish Women’s Funding Network,
a member of the Healthy Washington Coalition and the Women’s
Funding Alliance. Ms. Solomon works on local political campaigns
and is a member of the 37th District Democrats.
Roslyn Solomon received her B.A. in political science and economics
from Wellesley College and her J.D. from the University of Washington
School of Law.
